談起『情人』這部具有異域風情的電影，我又不得不想起法蘭西在殖民時期為越南留下的各種文明與痕迹——從法式建築風格，到凡到越南必嘗的越式法國麵包（Banh Mi）；以及堤岸（越南語 Chợ Lớn，英譯Cholon）這個昔日的富庶之地如今被喚為『中國城』（Chinatown），還有飄洋過海來此經商或工作，並最終落地生根的越南華人。
